Description of the place
The Gjirokastra Obelisk is an important tourist attraction in the city, as the monument is a symbol of education in Albania, especially the Albanian language, as Albanians were not allowed to use their language during the Ottoman rule, so this obelisk was built, consisting of 124 stone blocks, rising above each other to 7 meters above the highest peak in the city of Gjirokastra, with a charming view of the ancient city and the beautiful Drinos Valley.
