Grossmünster

The magnificent Gross Münster Church, located in Zurich, is of historical and architectural importance. The construction of the church began in the year 1100 AD and it was inaugurated in the year 1220 AD. The towers were added to it in the fourteenth century AD, but it was destroyed by a fire in the eighteenth century. It is one of the famous classical landmarks of the city. The church is distinguished by its doors with wonderful decorations, its windows of many colors, and its columns with distinctive inscriptions.
