Gwisinsa

Joisinsa Temple is located 2.5 kilometers from the heart of Jeonju, and it is built on a green hill of wonderful beauty. The temple is surrounded by trees from all directions, and the trees in the place have acquired sanctity as the temple. The temple was built of concrete and stones, and this is not usual, as most of the temples in the city are built of logs. It was built of concrete in order not to run out, because it is located in the heart of tropical forests, and heavy rains might cause great damage to it if it was built of wood.
