Description of the place
Emmanuel Church is a Protestant church founded by the Dutch in 1839 and is located in the Merdeka Square area in Jakarta. It is considered one of the oldest churches in Indonesia. It has a luxurious classic architectural design with a large dome and doors made of solid teak wood and decorated with copper. It also contains an organ dating back to 1841. The church also maintains a Dutch State Bible printed in 1748.
