Iskenderpasa Mosque
The Iskandar Pasha Mosque is an Ottoman mosque dating back to the sixteenth century in Trabzon, and it is one of the distinctive monuments of the city, which originally included a religious school and a cemetery. Today, however, the schools no longer exist in its yard, and the old cemetery has been removed, leaving only the tomb of Iskenderpasa. The mosque includes an inscription indicating the date of the mosque's restoration in 1882 AD, as the minaret was built alternately with bricks and colored stones, and is characterized by Baroque decorations from the nineteenth century.
