Jewish Cementery
The Jewish cemetery in Sopot was opened in 1913 on a quiet site of 0.5 hectares amidst linden and birch trees that survive to this day, and was the final resting place of many famous local Jewish families. The surviving graves are dated with inscriptions in Polish, German, Russian and Hebrew between 1922 AD and 1936 AD, the year the last person was buried here, and the cemetery includes a rare monument to Jewish soldiers who rose during the World War.
