Kayseri Castle is a castle built in ancient times and was mentioned for the first time during the reign of Gordian III between the years 238 and 244 AD, and it went through multiple restorations and additions starting with the Romans, and continued with the Byzantines, Danishmends, Seljuks, Bani Dhu al-Qadr, the Emirate of Qaraman and the Ottomans, and the majestic edifice that you see today is Mostly the work of the Seljuk Sultan Alaeddin Keykubad in the 13th century, today it consists of an inner and outer section with a total of 18 towers, and houses many interesting antiquities and historical pieces.
