Mavga Castle
In 1230 AD, Sultan Alaeddin Keykubat built Mafga Castle by carving natural rocks, with a distinctive formation that is the strangest and most beautiful of its kind. The castle includes a rectangular mihrab on the tower at the northeastern end, phrases in the Arabic language are engraved inside it, and the castle includes graves and mausoleums for a number of political and military figures and soldiers who died during their valiant defense of the city.
