Molivos Castle

Molyvos Castle is located on top of one of the highest hills in Lesbos, giving it a sweeping view of the entire city. This castle was used for defensive purposes in order to protect the island from any potential danger, especially from pirate attacks. Today, the castle has become an important cultural place, where ceremonies, festivals, and cultural and national events are held, which attract large numbers of tourists to participate in.
