The Pachuca Clock is a symbol of the city of Hidalgo and the independence of Mexico, and a landmark of Independence Square, which is a 40-meter-high clock tower. It was built between 1904 AD and 1910 AD to celebrate the centenary of Mexico's independence. This clock is considered the most famous symbol and representative of the city, and its design is identical to the Big Ben clock in London, which chimes every 15 minutes. The four clock faces point directly north, east, south and west, so the tower is a good starting point for Pachuca explorations.
