Museum of Prehistoric Thira
This museum, which tells the history of the ancient city of Thera, was built on the ruins of a historic church that was destroyed in the strong earthquake that hit the island in 1956. This museum tells in detail the history of the city in prehistoric times, and tells the story of its origin and destruction. Among the exhibits in the museum there are statues, pottery, murals, furniture, and many more. The museum also holds many temporary exhibitions so that museum visitors do not get tired of the existing exhibits.
