National military museum

The National Military Museum is considered one of the most famous museums located in the city of Manouba. It was inaugurated in 1984 and opened in 1989. It displays different times of Tunisian military history to learn about ancient times. It contains 23,000 military pieces that include a group of expensive weapons such as old military knives and weapons. Firearms and models of military naval ships that were used in wars in the past. It is attributed to the Department of Heritage, Information and Culture of the Tunisian Ministry of National Defense. Its mission is to preserve, present and develop the military historical heritage to perpetuate the memory of those who were martyred for the sake of the homeland.
