Porto Formoso Tea Factory

São Miguel Island includes the only tea plantations in Europe for industrial purposes, and the Porto Formoso tea factory is one of those factories that not only produce tea, but also preserve the traditions of tea production in the Azores from the beginning until the last quarter of the nineteenth century, and the factory includes a museum that organizes Guided visits at any time of the day within the specified schedule, after that, visitors can taste several types of tea in the beautiful room that offers a wonderful view of the tea plantations and the city of Porto Formoso.
