St Christopher's Cathedral is one of the largest and oldest churches in the city, built in 1939 and later expanded in 1973. This church is the main place of worship for Roman Catholic Christians in Canberra, and the seat of the Archbishop of Canberra and Golburn. This church is also distinguished by its modern Gothic architectural design, stained glass windows, in addition to some statues and figures distributed in its courtyards.
