Saint Nicholas Church
The Church of St. Nicholas or the Serbian Greek Orthodox Church is located on a hill near the center of the historic city of Eger. It was designed by János Povolni and was built in 1799 in the late Baroque style. It was renovated in 1979 and now serves as a church and a museum. Its interior is distinguished from other Baroque churches in Eger, and the main attraction inside is the Baroque and late Baroque icon wall, which depicts St. Nicholas, the apostles, saints and prophets.
