Sao Marcos Church

The history of the Church of Sao Marcos (Saint Mark) and its hospital dates back to the eighteenth century, and it was built according to the design of Carlos Amarante, after whom the church square is named. Clear with the symmetrical horizontal shape of the neighboring hospitals to create a harmonious overall impression, and in the middle of the church facade, there is a niche containing a statue of St. Mark.
