Şehidiye Mosque

Al-Shahidiya Mosque dates back to many years ago, as it is believed that the Artuqi Sultan Melik Nasreddin Artuk Aslan built it at the beginning of the thirteenth century, with many changes and additions to the external structure from the architectural system followed at the time, which making it a distinguished architectural masterpiece that remains until today. The mosque has a tall minaret decorated with Islamic geometric inscriptions and motifs, which makes you notice the mosque from the farthest point in the city.
