Name of the place
Tell Balata
Tell Balata
At the eastern entrance to the city of Nablus, this exceptional archaeological site is located in the Balata area. This site includes the ruins of ancient Nablus, and you can clearly see the city wall, which dates back to the prominent Bronze Age. In addition, the archaeological area includes historical gates with two cascading gates surrounded by huge towers that are considered a perfect example of Canaanite defensive architecture in the Bronze Age, along with many antiquities from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries BC. Despite its blindness as a historical archaeological site, the road is rugged and unpaved, so visitors should pay attention while touring and take precautions.
