public square in Brisbane, opened in 1984, and is one of the most prominent landmarks of the city. The field is located between Queen Street and Adelaide Street, and has an area of 3,300 square meters. There is also a shopping center and a car park below it. Right in front of the General Post Office is the square, a beautiful sandstone building dating from 1872 that was home to the Queensland Museum for some time in the 19th century.
