Ucanha Tower and Bridge
The fortified Okanha Bridge served as the huge entrance to the Monastery of Salzidas, while its tower served as a place for collecting spoils, defense and storing various products. Their history dates back to the twelfth century, and together they form a historical monument linking the two banks of the Varosa River, and they were built on one of the ancient Roman roads. Today, they are considered one of the most popular tourist attractions in Lamego, as they are of exceptional beauty with a sweet green background.
