Description of the place
The construction of St. Francis Church began on November 3, 1400 by order of João I. It underwent several changes between the 15th and 18th centuries, and is known for its Romanesque main portal, Gothic headboard, Methodist cloister, and Baroque interiors. White and blue tiles reflecting the life of Santo António.
