Church of Sao Miguel do Castelo

The small church of Sao Miguel do Castelo was built in the 13th century. Its Romanesque building and small dimensions reflect great simplicity in terms of decoration. Inside, the great warriors of the nation's founding period are buried under the floor. The church was badly worn out during the early 19th century. , but it was later restored in 1874 and 1940, and was classified in 1910 as a national monument.
