Millennium Fountain

The Millennium Fountain is located in Szechenyi Square in the center of Szeged, and was created with the aim of perpetuating the memory of the House of Arpad, the leader of the Magyar tribes that arrived in the city in the 9th century. The fountain features four statues of lions, symbolizing the golden orbs in the country, facing the four corners of the compass, and representing faith, courage, dignity and light. This fountain is a popular tourist attraction among tourists who visit it in order to enjoy its view and take memorial photos of it.
