One of the largest cemeteries in the Mediterranean, with an area of about 80 hectares, and it is a Punic cemetery located in a hill inside the city of Cagliari dating back to the sixth and third centuries BC, as the Carthaginians chose this hill to bury their dead, and these tombs were reached when a well was dug in the stone The limestone is two to eleven meters deep. These burial chambers are distinguished by the fact that they are decorated with many inscriptions and natural drawings of palm trees, which are still preserved in the rock as they were. The cemetery was opened to visitors in 2014.
