Description of the place
The former Santa Maria Monastery is located in the Valmarina district of Bergamo, and it was built in the year 1150 AD by a group of nuns who were living in it at the time. Its area is about 660 square meters, and the building consists of a church, a monastery, and a dining area. It has its fertility, as the nuns cultivated it to obtain food, and today the place has turned into a historical building visited by tourists to see the remaining ruins of it and learn about its history.
